Anna Jalowska, Ethan Theuerkauf, and Tony Rodriguez are presenting papers at the Joint Penrose/Chapman Conference, “Coastal Processes and Environments Under Sea-Level Rise and Changing Climate: Science to Inform Management” in Galveston, TX April 15-19. Titles and authors include:
1. Jalowska, A.M., McKee, B.A., and Rodriguez, A.B., 2013, Response of the Roanoke Delta to changes in the rate of sea-level rise and human-induced changes in sediment supply
2. Theuerkauf, E.J., Rodriguez, A.B., Fegley, S.R., and Luettich, R.A., 2013, Subannual sea-level anomalies as drivers of coastal change
3. Rodriguez, A.B., Theuerkauf, E.J., Yu, W., and Elliott, E., 2013, Response of Barrier Islands to changing rates of sea-level rise and storminess over millennial, centennial, and decadal time scales
There is a field trip associated with the meeting, which will be fun because Tony worked in the area years ago during his Ph.D. with John Anderson at Rice University. The Island has likely changed quite a bit over the last 10 years.
